MFIC is pleased to announce that Monday, June 3, 2019 will be the last day of the month of Ramadan, 1440 A.H. and that Tuesday, June 4, 2019 will be Eidul-Fitr.

Eid Prayer will be held at the Fresno Convention Center - Exhibit Hall located at 848 M Street, Fresno.  Eid prayer will be at 9:00 AM sharp.  Sadaqatul-Fitr is $10 per every family member and it should be given prior to Eid prayer.

MFIC would like to announce that Friday, April 24, 2020 will be the first day of the month of Ramadan 1441 A.H.  However, due to the current situation regarding the coronavirus and for the sake of protecting the health and safety of our community and coping with the State and City rules, we will not hold the Taraweeh prayer in congregation at the masjid this year.  Nonetheless, the following guidelines were assembled for your perusal.

Eidul-Fitr Update

MFIC is pleased to announce that Saturday, May 23, 2020 will be the last day of the month of Ramadan, 1441 A.H. and that Sunday, May 24, 2020 will be Eidul-Fitr.

Takbeer of the Eid will be streamed live from the Masjid starting at 8:30 AM (listen here). Eid Prayer will be at 9:00 AM. Please pray at home with your family. A tutorial video for performing Eid prayer may be viewed here. Eid khutbah will be streamed live at 9:15 AM via Youtube at this link.

 

Sadaqatul-Fitr is $10 per every family member and it should be given prior to Eid prayer. You may give it via MFIC here or drop it in the Masjid mailbox or call the Imam at (559) 222-6686 or (559) 273-3672.

 

Drive-thru Eid celebration will be held at the Masjid starting at 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Sunday. Please bring your childeren (12 and under) to get their Eid gifts from the Masjid.

Masjid Fresno Islamic Center would like to announce that Tuesday, April 13, 2021 will be the first day of the month of Ramadan 1442 A.H.

Starting Wednesday, May 5, 2021, Isha and Taraweeh prayers will be held outdoors at MFIC parking lot starting at 9:20 PM.  Please bring a thick prayer rug with you, as there will be no tarp. For parking, please use the west parking lot (across the street from the masjid), the streets around the masjid, and the church parking lot (northeast corner of Barton Ave and Sierra Madre Ave).

Due to the recent easing of Coronavirus restrictions in Fresno County, it was decided that the Masjid will reopen, in shaa Allah, on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Friday Prayer.

However, certain rules will be enacted and enforced to insure compliance with government regulations.  Please review the following rules before visiting the Masjid.

Important Update on the Reopening of the Masjid

After reviewing the guidelines released by the Governor and also endorsed by the City and County of Fresno, it was decided that the Masjid will reopen, in shaa Allah, on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Maghrib time.

However, certain rules will be enacted and enforced to insure compliance with government regulations.  Please review the following rules before visiting the Masjid.

The Election Committee would like to inform the community that the nomination phase for the upcoming 2020-2022 Board members will start on Friday, 03/06/2020.

 

Pursuant to MFIC Constitution, registered members of MFIC are kindly requested to review the MFIC membership list and utilize the Nomination form to nominate their respective candidates for the upcoming Board.

Completed nomination forms shall be dropped off in the donation boxes at the lobby of Masjid Fresno.

 

For your convenience, the election schedule and Membership List are currently posted in the lobby of the masjid (men entrance) and at the entrance for the sister area, as well.

  • Live streaming of the Friday khutbah will continue on the YouTube channel and Facebook. You will always receive the link for live-streaming of the khutbah via email and WhatsApp messages.

 

  • Please subscribe to our YouTube channel here to be connected with the Masjid and the daily activities.

 

 

  • There will be daily lectures and khateras (short speeches) that will be broadcasted on our YouTube channel and will be sent via email and WhatsApp.

  • We are preparing for online Saturday School, which will be announced soon in sha Allah.

  • Assistance Program (Zakah) will continue. Please mail, email or drop off the zakah application in the mail box outside the Masjid.

  • Please continue your financial support to the Masjid since the Masjid rely on your generous donation. Eid prayer will be held at MFIC at 8:30 AM (following CDC guidelines).  Takbeer of the Eid will start at 8:00 AM. Eid khutbah will be streamed live on YouTube and Facebook.  Only one Eid prayer will be held. Unfortunately, there will be no space for the sisters and children at this time.

 

Sadaqatul-Fitr is $10 per every family member and it should be given prior to Eid prayer. You may give it via MFIC here or drop it in the Masjid mailbox or call the Imam at (559) 222-6686.

As a result of the recent Supreme Court ruling, the state's ban on indoor worship was lifted, but with certain restrictions. After reviewing the guidelines released by the Governor, it was decided that the Masjid will reopen, in shaa Allah, starting on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Isha time.

However, certain rules will be enacted and enforced to insure compliance with government regulations.  Please review the following rules before visiting the Masjid.

It has been declared that Tuesday, July 20, 2021 (10 Dhul-Hijjah, 1442 A.H.) will be the first day of Eidul-Adha. The day of Arafah will thus be on Monday, July 19, 2021.

Eidul-Adha prayer will be held at MFIC. Eid takbeer will start at 7:00 AM. First Eid prayer will be at 7:30 AM followed by Eid khutbah.  Second Eid prayer will be at 8:30 AM followed by Eid khutbah.

Important Update on in-person Activities in the Masjid

Masjid Fresno Islamic Center would like to announce lifting the restrictions of maintaining 6 feet distance requirement.  However, it is requested that brothers and sisters continue to wear their masks and to take all precautions for protection. Prayer will be held side-by-side in the masjid without seperation. Starting Friday, 6/25/2021, sisters and children will be able to attend the Friday Prayer in the masjid. Please note that plastic bags will no longer be provided for the prayer.  So please bring your prayer rug. Masks will continue to be available upon request. In shaa Allah, in-person Saturday School will start on September 4, 2021. In-person youth activities will also resume in September 2021.

Masjid Fresno would like to announce that Saturday, April 2, 2022 will be the first day of the month of Ramadan 1443 A.H.  Taraweeh prayer will start on Friday night, April 1, 2022.  Iqama for Isha prayer will be at 9:00 PM during the first half of the month of Ramadan and at 9:15 PM during the second half (starting April 17th).
